Hi Girls! It's so great to have you here and hopefully you are ready to have a life changing experience...literally. Over the next year we are going to dive head first into the transforming power of God's word through the beautiful gift of memorization. Then at the end of that year we are going to come together and celebrate during a special event (details to be released a little later). His word is powerful and alive and was given to us for so many reasons. Personally, my favorites are to renew our minds and to reveal Himself. There is nothing better then sitting down with an open Bible, a cup of hot chocolate or coffee and enjoying sweet fellowship with the Lord. His word shows us His strength, His beauty, His power, His great love, His peace and His adoration of us as His children. The list could go on and on but I will leave you to discover more of who He is with your personal time together. Long story short, the Bible is the greatest love story ever written and the fact that we have His written word at our fingertips is amazing and we would be crazy not to hide it deep in our hearts.
At this point you may be asking what this blog is all about. Well girls, it's about life transformation. It's about having our minds renewed. It's about falling in love with the Word. It's about saying goodbye to the patterns of this world and saying hello to the truth that is Jesus Christ. It's also about an inspiration I found through a friend. An idea that I am about to copy of seeking to memorize two scriptures a month and being accountable for them with each of you. On the 1st and 15th of every month we are going to commit to memorize scripture, that is if you're willing to join me. You can find the exact directions under the post entitled "How To".
In the mean time I must give credit where credit is due. Like I said, this is not an original idea. This is a much, much, much smaller scale version of Beth Moore's blog. My dear friend, Tracy, recently became a part of a scripture memorization team on Beth Moore's blog and at the end of the year went to Beth's home church for a celebration of the year's memorization. As Tracy described this event one Tuesday morning I fell in love with the idea. The idea of falling in love all over again with God's word, with allowing it to continue to transform my life and uncover any lies I know I am believing but haven't been revealed to me as of yet. So again, this is not my idea, I am just a big ol' copy cat!
So girls, if you're ready for a challenge and ready to have truth revealed in your life and your mind renewed then I ask you to join me and a few of my close friends as we take this adventure together.
